Jharkhand News: Two JJMP Naxals killed, one arrested in Latehar

Latehar, May 24: In a major breakthrough, security forces eliminated two top leaders of the outlawed Naxalite faction, Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), in an operation in Latehar district of Jharkhand on Saturday.

One of the slain rebels, Pappu Lohara, had a bounty of ₹10 lakh, while the other, Prabhat Ganjhu, carried a reward of ₹5 lakh.

According to sources, a third member of the group, who sustained injuries during the encounter, has been captured. An INSAS rifle was also seized from his possession.

The operation, which targeted the splinter Naxalite outfit, is still in progress, security officials confirmed.
