Ranchi, Jan 17: After a hiatus of 3 years, The Rose Society of Ranchi (RSR) will organize the 98th Rose Show on January 19-20 at Mecon Community Hall, Doranda where thousands of strikingly beautiful rose blooms and rose paintings together with rose arrangements, rose crafts will be on display.
Entries are to be displayed on January 19 from 11.00 AM to 2.00 PM and the Show will remain open for public viewing on Saturday, January 20 from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
There is no entry fee for viewing the show. The best bloom of the show will be awarded the King of the Show and the second best will be the Queen of the Show.

RSR President Gopal Prasad Sahu informed that besides fresh cut roses, roses in pots and rose arrangements, rose paintings on paper, fabric, saris, table cloth, napkin and porcelain, rose crafts like paper and vax roses, photographs, embroidery, garlands and bouquets will be accepted as entries.
First Prize, Second Prize and Certificate of Merit will be awarded for altogether 60 sections under 7 categories meant for individuals, institutions and parks, Indian roses, small growers and novices, schools, rose arrangements, rose paintings, embroidery, photographs, crafts, bouquets & garlands.
The Society will provide the bottles and containers for the display of roses.
