Jamshedpur, Sept 6:  A few isolated areas in western Jharkhand are expected to experience heavy showers in another 24 hours or so due to the impact of a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal.

IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued heavy rain forecast in western and south-western Jharkhand between September 7 and 9 (Saturday to Monday).

It is likely to move slowly northwards during the next 24 hours.

An east-west trough runs from the cyclonic circulation over northwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Haryana to Manipur across East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.

Monsoon activity was normal over the state during the past 24 hours.
