Jharkhand Weather: IMD rules out rain respite, heat wave continues over state

Jamshedpur, April 30: There will be no respite from the scorching and extreme heat for the next 48 hours.

Weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today said extreme heat with heat wave conditions would continue to prevail in several places across Jharkhand for the next two to three days

Today, heat wave conditions would prevail at isolated places of Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dumka, Pakur, Godda, Sahibganj, Seraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Palamu and Garhwa districts of the state.

On Wednesday and Thursday, heat wave conditions are likely to occur at isolated places of Seraikela-Kharsawan, West Singhbhum and East Singhbhum districts.

Statistics revealed that Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Godda, Seraikela, Baharagora and several other places in the Kolhan and Santhal Pargana region are reeling under severe heat conditions with maximum temperature hovering between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius.
