Jamshedpur, Aug 30: A subdued monsoon will result in light rain at a few places today.
IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre in a bulletin issued this morning predicted light rain in some places today
Satellite pictures suggested that under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the east-central Bay of Bengal, a low-pressure area formed over the central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal.
It is likely to move west northwestwards and become more marked over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal by today.
Thereafter, while moving towards north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coasts, it is likely to intensify into a depression over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent two days.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was passing through centre of deep depression over Saurashtra and Kutch, Udaipur, Dabok, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Ambikapur, Puri and thence southeastwards to a low-pressure area over central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal.
