Jamshedpur, Dec 14: The free fall of minimum temperature continued with Garhwa recording the state’s lowest minimum temperature of 4.5°C today.

Khunti and Ramgarh recorded around 5°C today while Simdega and Jamtara recorded 6°C.

Daltonganj, Dhanbad and Hazaribag today recorded a little over 6°C.

Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded 10.2 degrees.

Bokaro recorded a minimum temperature of 7.1 degrees Celsius today while Chaibasa in neighbouring West Singhbhum recorded 7.8 degrees Celsius.

Weatherman said the dominating north-westerly wind has intensified the cold across Jharkhand resulting in plummeting minimum temperatures.

Cold wave conditions prevailed at several places today including Bokaro, Dhanbad and Ramgarh.

A forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre suggested that the cold wave conditions would continue to prevail in isolated places across Jharkhand in the next 24 hours.
