Jamshedpur, Jan 19: A 30-year-old youth was fatally injured as a group of three youths attacked him with sticks at the New Baridih bustee under the Sidhgora Thana area on Thursday night.
Identified as Jagdeep Singh alias Golu, the victim was first rushed to MGM Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) for treatment, but was immediately referred to Tinplate Hospital in view of his critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Tinplate Hospital.
The murder victim who was working under a contract firm in Tata Steel was attacked while he was returning home from his duty at about 8.30 pm.
Those who inflicted the fatal injuries on Golu have absconded and are also the residents of the New Baridih bustee like the murder victim.

Dispute over parking spot
According to sources, the three goons were consuming liquor together while waiting for Golu to pass the stretch. As the victim was passing through the stretch on his two-wheeler, they intercepted him and attacked him with sticks that they had kept ready at the scene.
OC, Sidhgora Thana, Manoj Kumar Tiwari said the murderous attack on Golu was the outcome of a dispute cropped up between the victim and one of the attackers taken place over a parking issue in the morning.
“The bereaved family members have lodged an FIR in connection to the incident and given names of three youths responsible for the murder of Golu. We are registering a case of murder against the three and will arrest them all soon, ” said the OC while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
The police have sent the body to the medical college mortuary for the postmortem as the murder of the youth triggered sensation in the locality.
