Jamshedpur, Feb 5: The minimum temperature will continue to rise in the next 48 hours, a weatherman said today.

Jharkhand is experiencing the impact of a pressure gradient, which would result in a rise in both maximum and minimum readings.

According to a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre, the minimum temperature is expected to witness a 2 to 3 degree Celsius rise in the next two days.

Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 16.8 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded 14.4 degrees.

According to statistics, Gumla today recorded the state’s lowest minimum temperature of 11.3 degrees Celsius.

Almost all places across Jharkhand witnessed a rising trend in minimum temperature.

Satellite pictures suggested that a trough runs from the cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and central Pakistan to northeast Arabian Sea across Gujarat at 1.5 Km above mean sea level.

A cyclonic circulation originating over north Gujarat was currently lying over Southern Rajasthan at 0.9 Km above the mean sea level.
