Naxal commander Naveen Yadav surrenders in Chatra

Chatra, Nov 8: Dreaded Maoist commander Naveen Yadav today surrendered in front of district officials including Deputy Commissioner Abu Imran, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan and Commandant of CRPF 190 battalion Manoj Kumar.

Carrying a reward of Rs15 lakh on his head, Yadav was wanted in the killing of three dozen policemen.

Yadav a.k.a Sarbjeet Yadav a.k.a Vijay Yadav, is a resident of Buta village under Pratappur police station. He was wanted in six dozen cases lodged in Chatra, Garhwa, Latehar and Chattisgarh.

Ranjan said Yadav will get all benefits as per the surrender policy of the state government. He said he will now be sent to open jail in Hazaribag.
