New Delhi, May 10: The main accused in the 2022 murder of Praveen Nettaru, a member of the Karnataka BJP Yuva Morcha in Bengaluru, has been apprehended by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Sources stated that NIA officials apprehended the culprit, Mustafa Paichar, from his hiding place in Karnataka.
On July 26, 2022, two bike-borne attackers killed Nettaru by hacking him to death at Bellare village in Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka.

He was allegedly killed by ‘killer squads’ or ‘service teams’ of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Bellare village.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) assumed jurisdiction over the case in August 2022.
The NIA has chargesheeted 21 people in all, including the absconders, under various provisions of the Arms Act, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Indian Penal Code.
