Bhubaneswar, July 6: An official statement announced that the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly’s first session will start on July 22 and conclude on September 13.
The session will start with an address by Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, followed by a motion of thanks, as stated in the official notification.
A notification from the assembly secretariat on Friday stated that the discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s address will begin on July 22 and conclude on July 24.
The election for the Deputy Speaker will be conducted on July 24.

The Odisha budget for 2024-25 is scheduled to be presented on July 25, according to the schedule.
The notification stated that Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who is also the finance minister, will present the first annual budget of the BJP government for 2024-25 on July 25, with the appropriation bill for a vote on account scheduled to be tabled on July 31.
On September 10, the appropriation bill for the 2024-25 fiscal year’s budget will be introduced in the House.
