Chief Minister Hemant Soren said while addressing the inauguration-foundation laying ceremony of development schemes and asset distribution among beneficiaries at Rajabhitha in Boarijor block of Godda district today.
The Chief Minister said that despite all the adverse circumstances, the public welfare schemes of the government are being implemented on the ground, which is benefiting the common people.

The Chief Minister said that the government has always been committed to public welfare. “In the last one and a half years, we have brought many such schemes, and by joining them, the people here are becoming empowered. Now an action plan is being prepared to start many more such public welfare schemes. These new schemes will become an important means of changing the condition and direction of this state. We are increasing our resources for the successful implementation of these schemes,” he added.

Maiyyan Samman Yojana is dedicated to women’s empowerment
The Chief Minister stated that empowering women is a commitment of his government. He acknowledged that the women of Jharkhand are hardworking, managing both their households and earning a livelihood. “Recognizing this, his government has already launched several schemes for the state’s women and girls,” he added.
He said that today another significant initiative, the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyyan Samman Yojana, is being introduced. Under this scheme, women and girls will receive an annual honorarium of 12,000 rupees.
The Chief Minister further mentioned that to ensure that girls in the state do not miss out on education due to financial constraints, they are being provided with 40,000 rupees under the Savitribai Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Over 9 lakh girls have been included in this scheme so far. Additionally, women over the age of 50 are also benefiting from a pension scheme.
Sarvajan Pension Yojana and Rojgar Srijan Yojana
The Chief Minister stated that his government is working to bring a smile to every face. Numerous government schemes are helping people become self-reliant. The government has implemented the Sarvajan Pension Yojana, providing financial security to all elderly citizens, single women, and differently-abled individuals. Additionally, farmers’ loans of up to 2 lakh rupees are being waived.
Under the Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana, young people interested in self-employment are being provided with financial assistance of up to 25 lakh rupees so that they can create employment opportunities for themselves and others.
The recruitment process for a large number of vacant positions is progressing rapidly. Several significant decisions have been made in favour of all categories of government employees. The old pension scheme has been reinstated as a safety net for employees in their old age.
Contract workers have seen improvements in their service conditions, along with an increase in their honorarium. Other workers, such as Anganwadi workers and assistants, are receiving a respectable incentive. As a result of these government decisions, a sense of happiness is being observed across the state.

Jharkhand was always kept on the margins: CM
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand was always kept on the margins before and even after becoming a separate state. The policy makers did not take care of this state and its poor people. This is the reason why Jharkhand lagged behind in terms of development.
“But, since the formation of our government, it has been continuously taking decisive decisions to take the state to the threshold of development and for the upliftment of the people here. The day is not far when Jharkhand will be counted among the leading states,” he said.
151 development projects
On this occasion, the Chief Minister presented a gift of 151 development projects worth approximately 187 crore 15 lakh rupees. This included the inauguration of 73 projects worth 58 crore 62 lakh rupees and the foundation laying of 78 projects worth 128 crore 53 lakh rupees.
Additionally, assets were distributed among the beneficiaries of various schemes. In this special event, the Chief Minister also gave the women and girls of the state a Raksha Bandhan gift by providing the honorarium under the Jharkhand Maiyyan Samman Yojana.
