New Delhi, April 25: DY Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India, declared on Thursday that the Supreme Court will incorporate WhatsApp messaging services to communicate information to lawyers regarding filing, listing, and other matters.
The Chief Justice of India remarked that while seemingly small, this initiative holds significant potential.
Recognizing the pervasive use of WhatsApp messenger in our everyday activities and its role as a potent communication tool, the CJI emphasized the Supreme Court’s commitment to bolstering access to justice and fostering transparency within the judicial system.

Consequently, the Supreme Court announced the integration of WhatsApp messaging services with its IT framework.
The CJI further noted that this feature and service would introduce a notable shift in daily work practices and contribute to paper conservation and environmental preservation.
