Deoghar, Dec 19: Devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham on the occasion of MahaShivratri will now have to pay Rs 600 for Shighradarshanam, up from the previous Rs 300, as per the latest decision of the Deoghar district administration.
Rate Revision for MahaShivratri
In a review meeting presided over by Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra, the district administration revised the Shighradarshanam coupon rate specifically for MahaShivratri.

Previously, devotees were required to pay Rs 300 for the Shighradarshanam coupon, both on general days and during special occasions such as Shrawani Mela, Saraswati Puja, MahaShivratri, and other festivals.

A senior official clarified that the Rs 600 rate increase is applicable only for MahaShivratri.
VIP and VVIP Darshan Ban to Continue
The official further stated that the complete ban on VIP and VVIP darshan at Baba Baidyanath Dham will continue during MahaShivratri.
The DC, while reviewing preparations for the festival, directed officials to ensure extraordinary facilities for devotees, aiming to provide a smooth and memorable experience for all visitors.

Traffic and Route Management Plans
In addition to revising the darshan rates, the DC instructed officials to finalize route plans for Shivaratri and develop a comprehensive strategy to maintain smooth traffic flow on the auspicious day.
The review meeting was attended by SDM Ravi Kumar, District Transport Officer Shailesh Priyadarshi, PRO Rahul Kumar Bharti, District Sports Officer Santosh Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, and other senior officers of the district administration.
