Jharkhand News: Six state civil services officers promoted to IAS

Ranchi, Feb 3: Six officers, including Kanchan Singh, from the state Civil Services cadre of Jharkhand have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

In this regard, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Personnel, Government of India, issued a notification on Monday. These promotions have been granted against the vacancies for the year 2023.

The officers who have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) are Kanchan Singh, Dhananjay Kumar Singh, Sita Pushpa, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Preeti Rani, and Rajesh Prasad. These officers have been appointed to the IAS under the 2023 selection list.

The notification states that the above-mentioned members of the state Civil Services, in consultation with the state government, have been appointed on probation to the Indian Administrative Service under Regulation 3 of the said regulations, against the vacancies determined by the Government of India for the 2023 selection list, until further orders.

They have been allocated to the Jharkhand cadre under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954.
