New Delhi, Dec 9: Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Sessions Court has issued a notice to Congress MP Sonia Gandhi pertaining to allegations that her name was included in the voter list before she became an Indian citizen.

Sessions Judge Vishal Gogne issued the notice. The petition filed in the Rouse Avenue Court claims that Sonia Gandhi’s name was wrongly added to the 1980–81 voter list.
According to the petition, her name appeared in the 1980 voter list of the New Delhi Assembly constituency, even though she became an Indian citizen only in April 1983.
