Sub-10 chill prevails in isolated parts of Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, Jan 16: Sub-10 chill was prevailing in isolated parts of Jharkhand today.

Met statistics suggest that Hazaribag recorded the state’s lowest minimum temperature for the consecutive day today with the local Met observatory notching 6 degrees Celsius.

Gumla too shivered at 6.4 degrees Celsius while Lohardaga recorded 6.5 degrees Celsius today.

Ramgarh recorded 7.6°C while Chatra recorded 9.8 degrees. Coal town Dhanbad today recorded a minimum temperature of 8.3 degrees Celsius while Deoghar today recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees.

As per records capital Ranchi today recorded a minimum temperature of 10.1 degrees Celsius while steel city Jamshedpur was a bit warmer at 12 degrees Celsius.

Bokaro today recorded a minimum temperature of 9.5 degrees Celsius while Palamu headquarters Daltonganj today recorded a minimum temperature of 11.8 degrees.

Ranchi Met Centre’s prediction suggests no major variations in minimum temperature in the next 48 hours.

According to weathermen, shallow to moderate fog will continue to prevail in isolated parts of the state in the next 72 hours.

Some places would also witness partly cloudy sky in the next two to three days.
