New Delhi, May 30: The Central Government on Thursday issued a notification for the appointment of three new judges to the Supreme Court. The move follows President Droupadi Murmu’s approval on Wednesday of the Supreme Court Collegium’s recommendations.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointments, stating that the swearing-in of the new judges is expected to take place on Friday morning, administered by Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai.

The newly appointed judges include Justice NV Anjaria, Justice Vijay Bishnoi, and Justice A.S. Chandurkar. With these additions, the Supreme Court now has its full sanctioned strength of 34 judges.
