Prayagraj, Jan 22: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a significant cabinet meeting at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Wednesday, where several crucial proposals for the state’s development were approved.
Among the key announcements, CM Yogi announced to establish three new medical colleges in Hathras, Kasganj, and Baghpat to improve healthcare infrastructure.
In a bid to enhance industrial and technological growth, the Chief Minister also declared the establishment of 62 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 5 centers dedicated to innovation, invention, and training across the state.

Development Projects and Infrastructure Focus
In addition to these educational and industrial initiatives, CM Yogi disclosed the renewal of Uttar Pradesh’s Aerospace and Defence policy, alongside the introduction of new incentives aimed at attracting investment to the state.
He announced that the state government would issue municipal corporation bonds for key cities including Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Agra, further boosting infrastructure development.
CM Yogi also highlighted the establishment of the Prayagraj-Chitrakoot development region, which will be modeled after the growth strategies of Lucknow, marking a pivotal move towards regional development.
Strategic Transport and Connectivity Improvements
A major infrastructure initiative discussed at the meeting was the Ganga Expressway project, which will connect Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Kashi, Chandauli, and eventually link with the Purvanchal Expressway in Ghazipur. This project is expected to greatly improve connectivity and spur economic growth in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
