Jamshedpur, May 23: Sona Devi University has appointed Prof. Veerender Kumar Jain as the Advisor to its School of Engineering and Technology.

In this role, Prof. Jain will provide expert guidance to foster the academic and technological advancement of the university.

Prof. Jain is a distinguished academician and engineer with a robust background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in heavy electrical equipment design and production.

He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 1966 from Maulana Azad College of Technology (now MANIT, Bhopal) and completed his M.Tech in 1968 through a unique industry-academia program with BHEL, supported by UNESCO and affiliated with Vikram University, Ujjain.
He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE), and a Life Member of ISHRAE.

Prof. Jain has authored over 150 books on various subjects in computer science and software development, ranging from basic programming languages to advanced topics like Big Data, Data Science, and Internet technologies.

Prof. Jain has served as a visiting faculty at prestigious institutions including Apeejay Institute of Technology, School of Planning and Architecture (Delhi), CPWD National Training Institutes, and Amity University.

He has delivered over 100 lectures on engineering topics related to building services, green buildings, and automation.
His appointment is expected to significantly contribute to the growth and development of the School of Engineering and Technology at Sona Devi University.
