Patna, April 13: The major opposition party in Bihar, the RJD, has released its manifesto in the context of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. RJD leader Tejashwi has promised to provide one crore jobs if the INDI Alliance government is formed at the Centre.
Additionally, they have pledged to deliver freedom from unemployment to the country from August 15. RJD has named its manifesto ‘Parivartan Patra.’ In their ‘Parivartan Patra’, RJD has made 24 promises to the people.
RJD makes 24 promises in the ‘Parivartan Patra’
– Upon the formation of the “India Alliance” government at the center, one crore unemployed youths across the country will be provided with government jobs.
-Currently, there are more than 30 lakh vacant government positions in the country. Along with filling those vacancies, 70 lakh new positions will also be created.
-Work to liberate the country from unemployment will begin from August 15 onwards. The process of job creation will also commence on the same day.
-Starting from Raksha Bandhan, poor sisters will be provided with an annual assistance of one lakh rupees.
-Bihar will be granted the status of a special state.
-Bihar will also receive a special package.
-Bihar will be provided with a special package worth 1,60,000 crores.
-Gas cylinders will be provided at just 500 rupees.
-The Old Pension Scheme (OPS) will be reinstated.
-A promise of 200 units of free electricity.
-MSP will be provided for 10 crops.
-A promise to end the Agniveer scheme.
-The recruitment process for army personnel will be initiated as before.
-Soldiers of paramilitary forces will also be given the status of martyrdom during duty.
-A promise to build airports in 5 cities of Bihar (Purnia, Bhagalpur, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, and Raxaul).
-Our government will implement the remaining recommendations of the Mandal Commission.
We fulfil the promises we make- Tejashwi Yadav
Tejashwi, while releasing the manifesto, said, “We fulfil the promises we make.” He mentioned that during the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections, they made several promises and endeavored to fulfill them during their 17-month tenure (the previous Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar).
He stated that they provided five lakh government jobs, conducted a caste-based census, and increased the reservation limit to 75 percent.
