THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK
New Delhi, May 10: A video of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar is going viral, in which Aiyar is heard saying that India should respect Pakistan because the neighbouring country has nuclear bombs. If we don’t respect them, they can think of launching a nuclear attack on India, he said.
After former Indian Overseas Congress president Sam Pitroda who made racist remarks about inheritance tax and Indians, now Congress is again on the back foot due to Mani Shankar Aiyar’s statement.
Any crazy person in Pakistan can use this bomb: Aiyer
Aiyar said in an interview that “They are also a sovereign country (Pakistan). They are a respected nation. You can talk tough with them (Pakistan). But start the dialogue. You are walking with a gun which yielded you nothing. Tensions are escalating. And if a mad person comes there, what will happen to the nation? They have an atom bomb. We also possess the atomic bomb. But if a mad person detonates our bomb at Lahore station, so within eight seconds, eight moments, its radioactivity will reach Amritsar.”

“So you should prevent the use of atomic bombs. But, if you start a dialogue with them (Pakistan) and encourage them (by considering them as), then they should start thinking about their atomic bomb. But if you snub them, then a mad person will come and detonate the bomb. Then what will happen?” he added.
BJP says Congress’ love for Pakistan love shows no signs of waning
BJP has attacked Congress over this statement of Aiyar. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said on Mani Shankar Aiyar’s interview that he lives in India, but his heart is in Pakistan. Pakistan does not have the courage to even look at India.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that Rahul Gandhi, Congress, Mani Shankar Aiyar all are speaking the language of Pakistan. India is so powerful that if it casts an eye on us, Pakistan will not exist. Congress speaks the language of Pakistan’s terrorists.
BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said, Congress’ love for Pakistan is not stopping. Mani Shankar Aiyar, close to the first family, is showing Pakistan’s muscle power and strength on behalf of Congress.
