Jharkhand News: 27 Associate Professors of 5 medical colleges promoted to Professor’s rank

Dhanbad, June 10: The state government has promoted deserving 27 Associate professors from five medical colleges to the post of Professors.

The joint secretary of state government has issued a notification regarding the promotion of associate professors to the post of professor today.

17 MGMMCH Jamshedpur associate professors promoted

As per the notification, 17 out of 27 associate professors have got promotions in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) Jamshedpur, four in Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) Hazaribagh, three in Phulo Jhano Medical College Hospital (PJMCH) Dumka, besides, two associate professors at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Dhanbad and one at  Medinirai Medical College Hospital MMCH)  Palamu.

The promotion of these associate professors had been due for a long. Moreover, many departments in these five medical colleges were functioning without professors. In MGMMCH and the newly set up three medical colleges were suffering due to lack of professor posts.

Dr  PN Mahto ( physiology), Dr  AK Jha ( pathology), Dr Jakka Sriniwas Rao ( FMT), Dr Ratan Kumar ( pharmacology), Dr JK Singh ( pharmacology), Dr Mirja Tudu (PSM), Dr Balram Jha ( medicine), Dr KK Choudhary (paediatrics), Dr Yaqub Sanga ( ortho), D Ajay Kumar  ( eye), Dr Shikha Rani  ( obstetric and gynaecology), Dr Mmanju Kumar Choudhary ( obstetric and gynaecology), Dr   Ela Jha (obstetric and gynaecology),  Dr Ranju Jha ( obstetric and gynaecology), Dr Manju Marina Bara ( obstetric and gynaecology). Dr Pawan Kumar Dutta (anaesthesia), Dr Ajay Kumar Prasad (anaesthesia).

Promoted professors of SBMCH Hazaribagh

Dr Sanjiv Kumar (anaesthesia). Dr Ajay Kumar Choudhary (surgery), Dr Subhashish Sarkar (PSM), Dr Ramkrishna Mahto (microbiology).

Promoted professors of PJMCH Dumka

Dr Anukar Purti (medicine), Dr Ruben Hembram (surgery), and Dr Bipad Bhajan  Mahto (eye).
