New Delhi, July 1: Arvind Kejriwal on Monday appealed in the Delhi High Court against his arrest by the CBI concerning a corruption case tied to the alleged excise policy scam/ liquor scam.
Additionally, Kejriwal challenged a June 26 trial court order that placed him in CBI custody for three days.
The trial court placed him in judicial custody on June 29, where he will remain until July 12.
Kejriwal, who was already in judicial custody at Tihar jail for a related money-laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate, was arrested by the CBI on June 26.

Earlier on June 25, Kejriwal faced a setback from the Delhi High Court as it cancelled the lower court’s decision of granting bail to him.
The High Court said that the subordinate court did not use its mind while granting bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Arvind Kejriwal on March 21.
