Daltonganj, August 6: Under operation ‘Jeevan Rakshha’, a RPF team saved a mother and her son from coming under the wheels of a running passenger train at the Daltonganj railway station on Monday evening.

Giving this information, the inspector in charge of RPF, Garhwa Road Junction post, Banarasi Yadav said a woman and a boy tried to board the 03343 Gomoh-Chopan passenger train at platform number 1 when this train had started running.
Yadav said the woman and the boy slipped and fell but before the two could go under the wheels of the running train RPF head constable Manoj Kumar Singh, constable P L Meena (both in uniform) and one more constable Arun Kumar (in plain clothes), on duty at platform number 1 saw the woman and boy in a very dangerous situation and within seconds the three rushed and pulled out the woman and the boy safely.

The two saved were all unhurt
The two saved were all unhurt. The guard of the train seeing this swift rescue of the two by the RPF immediately stopped the train and the woman and the boy then boarded the train.
