Kapali thana OC, Sonu Kumar said Hussain who was a motor mechanic had married Dilkash, also a resident of Millatnagar, a year ago.
Regular quarrels between husband-wife
“But hardly a month had passed, the newly-wed couple had started quarrelling between themselves, the reason being the husband developed a suspicion that his wife had an extramarital relationship. As a result of the regular row, Dilkash had moved away to her parent’s house,” said the Kapali OC while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
Sonu Kumar said Hussain had brought back Dilkash to his house a week ago only but the couple fought over the same issue over and over again.
“From the statement of the family members of Hussain as well as that of Dilkash, we came to know that the quarrel between the husband-wife was very intense last night. Ultimately, we got to know about the tragedy this morning. Hussain might have murdered Dilkash with a chopper before committing suicide by hanging, ” said the OC.
The police officer stated that they have already shifted the bodies to Seraikela Sadar Hospital mortuary for postmortem having had a forensic inspection of the spot.
