Following the search of Mishra’s residence, the CBI took him to the ECL guest house in the Mugma Area for further interrogation, which continued into Saturday morning.

The action was initiated based on a complaint from colliery staff member Md. Salim, who had been transferred from Hariyajam Colliery to Shyampur B Colliery. Salim applied for a position in the Magazine Department as a clerk, but Mishra allegedly demanded ₹20,000 for this preferred placement.
