Ranchi, Oct 18: Chief Minister and JMM leader Hemant Soren said that he will put the BJP in a box in all 81 seats during the assembly elections.

Soren said that the JMM is not a political party but a soldier who is committed to protecting Dalits-Adivasis in Jharkhand.

The chief minister was speaking to reporters at a function organised to welcome BJP MLA Kedar Hazra and former AJSU MLA Umakant Rajak into the JMM fold.

Notably, Kedar Hazra is currently the BJP MLA from Jamua. Recently, Manju Devi, who was a Congress candidate, joined the BJP. So, Hazara was not sure of getting the BJP ticket this time.

Similarly, Umakant Rajak has been an AJSU MLA from Chandankiyari. In the alliance, this seat has gone to the BJP’s kitty. Amar Kumar Bauri will contest from here on the BJP’s ticket. When Umakant did not see any possibility of getting a ticket, he joined the JMM. JMM will give him a ticket from Chandankiyari.
