Jamshedpur, May 24: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), a leading trade outfit of eastern India’s business landscape, is set to mark its Platinum Jubilee with a landmark celebration on Sunday, May 25.

The grand event, to be held at the Fasy Auditorium of Loyola School, Jamshedpur, will commemorate 75 years of service to the region’s industrial and entrepreneurial community.

Adding historic weight to the occasion, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will attend as Chief Guest, making it the first-ever visit by a sitting Speaker to Jamshedpur. This unprecedented moment signals the city’s rising prominence on the national stage.

Joining Speaker Birla will be a host of national dignitaries including Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, and local MP Bidyut Baran Mahato. More central ministers are expected, hinting at the high-profile nature of the event.

SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka hailed the event as a defining moment in the Chamber’s legacy. “This celebration is not merely a tribute to our past but a powerful affirmation of our future. Hosting such esteemed guests reflects the vital role Jamshedpur and the SCCI play in shaping India’s economic narrative,” he said.

Founded in 1948 and officially registered in 1950, SCCI represents over 2,500 members and indirectly impacts more than two lakh individuals across the region. The Platinum Jubilee kicks off a month-long series of events, celebrating the Chamber’s impact across business, politics, culture, and the arts.
