Jharkhand News: East Singhbhum DC stresses grassroots healthcare delivery

Jamshedpur, June 11: In a key review meeting held at the District Collectorate Auditorium here on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Karn Satyarthi emphasized that improving the reach and quality of healthcare is a top priority for the district administration.

The meeting covered a wide range of health initiatives, including maternal and child health, immunization, malnutrition treatment, disease control programs, and digital health services.

The DC directed officials to ensure that all health schemes reach the last beneficiary in a timely and effective manner.

He stressed better coordination at the grassroots level and called for tagging two Mamta vehicles per panchayat to ensure emergency care. Use of the e-Hospital system was also reviewed to enhance service transparency.

Programs for TB, leprosy, dengue, diabetes, and hypertension were assessed, with a focus on preventive action and regular monitoring.

Mental health services, family planning, and population stabilization efforts were also discussed.

Senior officials, including district Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal and other key health personnel, were present to review progress and plan next steps for strengthening the district’s healthcare delivery.
