Dhanbad, June 28: More than 100 cases were resolved and ₹5.71 lakh was recovered during the monthly Lok Adalat held in Dhanbad today.
The event was organized by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on the court premises, following the directive of the Jharkhand Legal Services Authority (JHALSA).
Sub-Divisional Judge and DLSA Secretary Mayank Tushar Topno informed the media that the Lok Adalat was conducted under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge Virendra Kumar Tiwari.

A total of eight benches were constituted, which facilitated the resolution of over 100 disputes. Notably, 62 of these cases were related to the Railways.
Lawyers’ Shed Inaugurated
A new sitting shed for lawyers at the Dhanbad Court was also inaugurated today. The inauguration was jointly carried out by Dhanbad Bar Association President Amrendra Sahay and Jitendra Kumar.
The event was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge Virendra Kumar Tiwari and District and Sessions Judge Durgesh Chandra Awasthi, among others.
