Jharkhand News: Netaji Subhas University hosts industry symposium on World Youth Skills Day

Jamshedpur, July 19: To mark World Youth Skills Day, the Department of Soft Skills at Netaji Subhas University, Pokhari, in the outskirts of Jamshedpur, organized an industry symposium aimed at aligning young talents with the evolving needs of the industrial sector.

The event served as a platform to inspire and guide students toward skill development in tune with industry requirements.

The program commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and Sai Vandana by the esteemed guests. In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor Prof. P. K. Pani emphasized the importance of youth in nation-building, stating, “Youth are the future of our country. With the right skills, they can not only secure their place in the industrial world but also drive the nation toward progress.”

The symposium saw participation from three prominent industry leaders who graced the occasion as guest speakers:

* Piyush Raj Katyayan, Founder of Piyush Academy and Ho Local Bazaar

* Nishith Sinha, Head of Statutory Compliance Management and Societies

* Shouvik Dey, Tech Lead, Google Developer Group – Ranchi

The event was supported by the Jamshedpur Management Association and witnessed active involvement from Nikhil Sharma, Co-founder and CMO of Venturing Digitally Private Limited.

Students of the university participated in various competitions such as speech and poster-making, showcasing their creativity and presentation skills.

Addressing the students, Piyush Raj Katyayan remarked, “This event proves that if educational institutions and the industry work together, we can prepare youth to compete on global platforms.”

The symposium was further enriched by the presence of several dignitaries and faculty members including: Prof. Dr. Acharya Rishi Ranjan, Dean, Faculty of Law; Nagendra Singh, Registrar; Nazim Khan, Head of Administrative Department; Prof. Dilip Shome, Dean of Academics; and Shraddha Verma, Director, IQAC Cell.

Faculty heads and members from various departments were also present, contributing to the success and academic spirit of the event.
