Jamshedpur, Dec 15: In a remarkable tale of inspiration, innovation and impactful change, XLRI Jamshedpur students have not only answered the call for social consciousness but have transformed it into a resounding echo across Jharkhand.

In a room filled with eager eyes and vibrant crafts, each piece held the dream of its young creator to reach beyond the confines of her local community.

XLRI students turned this vision into reality through a service initiative that has recently garnered attention for its outstanding impact.

The journey began at the G20 conference, where the craftsmanship of the girls from KGBV School caught the attention of many.

The ensuing appreciation became a catalyst for the Jharkhand government to showcase these talents at a grand exhibition at the Governor’s Bungalow.

At this point, the Department of School Education and Literacy Development saw an opportunity to bridge local admiration with the global marketplace—a bridge that XLRI students eagerly undertook to build.

This workshop was not just an event; it was the ignition of an entrepreneurial spirit, a promise of self-reliance, and a blueprint for navigating the digital economy with confidence and creativity.

The initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Department of School Education and Literacy Development, Government of Jharkhand, has already received appreciation from the Secretary of the Department.

Subsequent steps include an online aggregated marketplace pilot project and phase-wise training for student artisans to sustain and grow their newfound digital presence.

“Our aim was to empower these young minds and share our knowledge with them. It was not only about technology, but also about instilling confidence and fostering creativity. We are thrilled to be a part of such an initiative that promises a change and opens doors for these talented individuals”, said one of the student volunteer from XLRI.

As this story unfolds, another group of students is finishing up a project to streamline operations at the Police Lines, a request that came directly from the SP of Simdega.

This ongoing commitment is yet another testament to XLRI’s dedication to societal development.
