New Delhi, Sept 27: Senior Advocate R. Venkataramani will remain India’s Attorney General until September 30, 2027, following the Central Government’s decision to grant him a two-year extension.

A notification from the Ministry of Law and Justice stated that President Droupadi Murmu has reappointed him for a fresh term beginning October 1, 2025.

Venkataramani, who has been practicing law for over four decades, first assumed the role in October 2022 for a three-year tenure that was due to expire on September 30, 2025.
