Five Jharkhand trainers become national karate judges

Dhanbad, Nov 17: Five karate trainers from Jharkhand have officially qualified as national judges under the Karate India Organization (KIO).

International Sotokan Karate Do Organization (ISKO)–Jharkhand secretary Shihan Amit Kumar said all five trainers successfully cleared the two-day Referee Judge Seminar and Examination held in Ramgarh from November 14 to 15.

The newly certified national judges are Raja Vishwakarma (Judge A), Jitu Kumar Mahato (Judge B), Sanjeev Kumar (Judge B), Yuvraj (Judge B), and Suruchi Kumari (Judge B).

ISKO officials noted that the seminar and examination were conducted under the supervision of Hanshi Premjit Sen, chairman of the Referee Commission of KIO, along with officials from the Sports Karate Association of Jharkhand (SKAJ).

President of the Sports Karate Association of Jharkhand and senior karate instructor Sensei Manas Sinha, along with Kyoshi Anupam Mahata, President and Chief Instructor of ISKO, congratulated all five trainers on their achievement.

Several others, including Prashant Prasad—authorized national judge of KIO and Ranchi district head of ISKO Jharkhand— also extended their congratulations.
