Bihar polls: Yogi Adityanath ridicules Rahul, Tejashwi, Akhilesh as ‘three monkeys’ of INDIA bloc

Darbhanga, Nov 3: Taking a sharp swipe at the opposition in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath on Monday described the leaders of the Mahagathbandhan as “three monkeys” of the INDIA bloc, claiming they neither see, hear, nor speak the truth about development in the state.

Addressing a public rally in Keoti, he alleged that Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav have turned a blind eye to Bihar’s progress under the NDA government.

Referring to Mahatma Gandhi’s famous trio of monkeys, Adityanath said, “Just as Bapu’s monkeys symbolized ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’, the INDIA alliance has brought its own version — Pappu, Tappu, and Appu. Pappu (Rahul Gandhi) cannot speak the truth, Tappu (Tejashwi Yadav) cannot see the truth, and Appu (Akhilesh Yadav) cannot hear it.”

The BJP leader further accused the Mahagathbandhan of sheltering mafias and compromising law and order. “They cannot recognize the development done by NDA leaders because they are too busy embracing family mafias who endanger Bihar’s security,” he said, adding that the opposition survives on caste politics and has “tainted Bihar’s system with violence and corruption.”

Continuing his fiery attack, Adityanath branded the alliance as “Hindu traitors and opponents of Maa Janaki.” He said, “Congress, RJD, and their partner Samajwadi Party have always insulted Lord Ram and Maa Janaki. Those who stand against our faith will always find us standing against them.”

Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is set to campaign in Bihar’s Kalyanpur Assembly constituency, while Tejashwi Yadav is canvassing in Mahua.

In Keoti, where Adityanath addressed the rally, a four-way contest is unfolding with BJP’s Murari Mohan Jha seeking to retain his seat against RJD’s Faraz Fatmi, Jan Suraaj’s Biltu Sahani, and AIMIM’s Mohammad Anisur Rahman. Jha had previously unseated Fatmi, making this contest a rematch between the two.

The Bihar Assembly elections will be conducted in two phases — November 6 and 11, with the results to be announced on November 14.
