Ranchi, April 24: Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand Anurag Gupta has ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to delve into the alleged investment fraud perpetrated by Sovaran Comtrade Private Limited. The company is accused of deceiving numerous investors across the state by promising high returns on investments.

In a high-level meeting held at the Police Headquarters Auditorium, the DGP reviewed the ongoing investigations into the case. Senior police officials, including regional inspectors general and superintendents of police from Palamu, Bokaro, Latehar, and Hazaribagh, participated in the meeting, either in person or via video conferencing.

The DGP emphasised the need for a thorough investigation, urging the use of modern technology and data analysis tools to scrutinise the evidence provided by the victims. He directed the investigators to expedite the process and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice promptly.
The SIT will focus on uncovering the extent of the fraud, identifying all individuals involved, and recovering the defrauded funds. Authorities have appealed to the public to come forward with any information related to the case.
This move comes in the wake of increasing reports of financial scams in Jharkhand, highlighting the need for stringent measures to protect investors and uphold financial integrity in the state.
