Dhanbad, Nov 28: BIT Sindri, Dhanbad, hosted a regional investor awareness seminar on Thursday, focusing on the theme “Indian Capital Market – Empowering Investors.”

The seminar, organized in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), aimed to educate investors and promote greater awareness of the capital markets.

Kamlesh Chandra Varshney, a Whole-Time Member of SEBI and an acclaimed IRS officer, along with NSE Vice President Debankar Majumdar, served as the event’s chief speakers.

Addressing the attendees, Kamlesh Chandra Varshney shared valuable insights into market regulations and highlighted his leadership’s role in strengthening the securities market framework. His expertise offered a deeper understanding of how market systems are evolving to protect and empower investors.

Debankar Majumdar, a seasoned expert in regulatory operations, shed light on the key mechanisms for addressing investor grievances and the critical role of the NSE in maintaining market integrity and transparency.

Dr. Ghanshyam, Director-in-Charge of BIT Sindri and Chairman of its Career Development Centre (CDC), presided over the seminar. In his address, he emphasized the importance of investor awareness and the need to empower individuals with knowledge about the Indian capital market.

Dr. Ghanshyam also proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks to the distinguished speakers and presented them with tokens of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the seminar.
