Dhanbad, May 30: The Sports Club of BIT Sindri gave a farewell to the final-year engineering students, celebrating their journey and contributions to the institute.

Organized by student members of the Sports Club under the guidance of senior faculty mentors, the farewell event featured a series of well-planned activities designed to make the occasion unforgettable.

Held in front of BIT Sindri’s administrative building, the event brought together senior and junior members of the club, all dressed in coordinated outfits. In keeping with tradition, juniors wrote heartfelt messages, wishes, and memories on the T-shirts of their seniors, turning them into cherished keepsakes.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. R.K. Verma, Faculty In-Charge of the Sports Club, congratulated the outgoing batch and extended his best wishes for their future.

“BIT Sindri’s Sports Club has always been more than just a platform for physical activity. It instills leadership, discipline, and teamwork — values that students carry with them throughout life,” he said, urging the juniors to uphold the spirit and unity of the club.

The farewell was filled with emotions, as many seniors reflected on their experiences. One student shared, “For us, the Sports Club wasn’t just a sports body — it was like a family. The sense of belonging and the lessons learned here will stay with us forever.”

A special photo session was also held to capture the memorable moments of the day.

The organizing team included President Karan Bhadani, Vice President Harshika Kumari, Secretary Rahul Ravi, Joint Secretary Riya Gari and Sumanta Kumar Paul, Treasurer Anushka Kumari, Joint Treasurer Khushi Kumari, along with active members Sumit Kumar, Akash Rajak, Rohit Kumar, Shubham Kumar, Manish Kumar, Devesh Kumar Mahto, Roma Raj, and others who contributed to the success of the event.
