Dhanbad, Nov 15: On the occasion of Jharkhand’s 25th Foundation Day, Nirsa MLA Arup Chatterjee and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aditya Ranjan jointly inaugurated a dedicated Breastfeeding and Changing Room at the Dhanbad District Collectorate on Saturday.
DC Aditya Ranjan said the facility reflects the district administration’s commitment to ensuring dignity, comfort, and convenience for mothers who visit the collectorate for public meetings or official work.

He added that the room has been designed to provide safety, privacy, and essential amenities, including breastfeeding space, play items, and resting arrangements for children.
A District Transit Branch was also inaugurated on the premises the same day.
Among those present at the event were District Forest Division Officer (DFO) Vikas Paliwal, ADM (Law & Order) Hema Prasad, Rajesh Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer Sneha Kashyap, and other officials.
