DBMS English School hosts intra-school theatrics competition

Jamshedpur, Nov 30: The Dramatics Club of DBMS English School organized an Intra-School Competition, Theatrics 2024, on Saturday. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across three levels — Level A (Std III & IV), Level B (Std V & VI), and Level C (Std VII & VIII).

Each level had specific themes in English and Hindi to challenge the creativity of the participants. For Level A, students depicted “Characters from Indian History” in English and “Indian Mythological Characters” in Hindi.

Level B featured “Characters from Fairy Tales and Harry Potter” in English and “Comedians of Bollywood” in Hindi. Meanwhile, Level C showcased “International Leaders” in English and “National Leaders” in Hindi.

The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the school’s management members and the Vice-Principal, followed by a prayer song. Students then took to the stage, bringing their characters to life with colourful costumes, dramatic expressions, and heartfelt performances.

The panel of judges included Guneet Sarkar, Nilanjana Mukherjee, and Nandini Bhattacharya for English, while Lipika Mahato, Archana Singh, and Sweta Swaroop judged the Hindi performances.

The winners of the competition were: 

– Level A: Gunav Agarwal (Hindi) and Nishit Saxena (English)

– Level B: Angad Singh (Hindi) and Zoya Nawaz Khan (English)

– Level C: Aarav Bhardwaj (Hindi) and Shreyash Kumar (English)

The event concluded with the singing of the school anthem. The Principal and the Managing Committee praised the efforts of the students, teachers, and organizers for making the event a grand success. Theatrics 2024 left the audience spellbound, celebrating the creativity and talents of young minds.
