Ranchi, July 23: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, honoured its Class XII toppers from the Commerce and Humanities streams in a Felicitation Ceremony held at the Vivekananda Auditorium.

The event celebrated not just academic scores but also the stories of discipline, vision, and passion that led to these outstanding results in the CBSE Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) 2025.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Rajeshwari B (IAS), Director, Department of Panchayati Raj, Government of Jharkhand, who served as the Chief Guest, and Zeeshan Qamar (IAS), Director, Dairy Development Directorate, Jharkhand and Managing Director, Marketing Board, Jharkhand who joined as the Guest of Honour.

The programme began on a musical note with a Welcome Song by the school choir. This was followed by the ceremonial welcome of the dignitaries with a sapling and memento presentation by the Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan. The dignitaries then lit the ceremonial lamp, and a welcome dance was presented by the students.

In this event, a total of 118 students from the Commerce and Humanities streams — all of whom scored 90% and above — were invited on stage to receive Certificates of Excellence and mementos. Their dedication was met with applause from teachers, parents, and peers alike.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Rajeshwari B said, “This success is the reflection of conscious choices, relentless effort, and a deep commitment to excellence. The Commerce and Humanities streams are the backbone of every progressive society — they build thinkers, policymakers, creators, and change-makers. I urge all students to carry forward this spirit and continue making a difference through knowledge, empathy, and innovation.”

She also praised the school for consistently producing well-rounded achievers with strong academic and ethical foundations.

Guest of Honour Zeeshan Qamar said, “In today’s world, success is not defined by streams — it is defined by purpose. Whether you pursue business, law, economics, psychology, literature, or public service, do so with courage and clarity. The achievements we celebrate today are just the beginning. Let your learning guide your actions, and let your actions serve society. You are not just students of DPS Ranchi — you are leaders in the making.”

In her message to the gathering, Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan reflected on the significance of the moment. She lauded the academic performance of the students and credited it to their commitment, the teachers’ mentorship, and the support of the parents.

“At DPS Ranchi, we don’t merely aim for academic brilliance; we aim to develop global citizens with values, vision, and versatility,” she said.
