PINAKI MAJUMDAR
Jamshedpur, Oct 23: In a major development, police have arrested Dashrath Shukla, a BJP worker from Golmuri, during a joint raid conducted between Bundu and Tamar.
Following his arrest, Shukla was taken to Bundu police station for interrogation.
Though officials have refrained from issuing an official statement, sources confirmed that his name surfaced during the investigation into the recent firing incident at the residence of Hareram Singh.

During the operation, police reportedly recovered a firearm from Shukla’s possession, which has been sent for forensic examination.

Investigators have also obtained crucial data from his mobile phone, allegedly linking him to notorious criminals Prince Khan and Sujit Sinha. Police authorities are now analyzing these digital evidences to uncover the full conspiracy behind the firing.
Police sources further revealed that two other suspects — Azad Langda and Saifi from Mango’s Azad Basti — may also be involved in the case.
Shukla’s possible connection to a Dhanbad-based gang has also come to light.
Earlier, police had raided his Golmuri residence but failed to capture him as he had fled the area. Acting on a tip-off, he was eventually nabbed from Bundu.
