Jamshedpur, March 6: The Department of Computer Applications and Information Technology at Karim City College, in collaboration with Venturing Digitally Pvt. Ltd. and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully conducted a two-day workshop on internship opportunities. The event aimed to guide students in selecting the right internship programs and understanding their significance in shaping careers.
The workshop featured prominent industry professionals as guest speakers, including Nikhil Sharma, Product Manager at Venturing Digitally Pvt. Ltd., Bipul Halder, Data Analyst, and Rajat Kumar, DevOps Engineer.
The sessions were divided over two days. On the first day, a lecture session was held where Nikhil Sharma elaborated on various software development processes, including Power BI and data analysis tools. He also discussed website development and the selection of appropriate programming languages.

Bipul Halder provided insights into the role and scope of data analysis in the industry, while Rajat Kumar explained the deployment of front-end, back-end, and database components, highlighting the importance of DevOps in the Software Development Life Cycle.

The second day focused on hands-on learning, allowing students to engage with software such as Power BI, VS Code, Python, and Node.js. This interactive session equipped students with practical skills to help them excel in their future careers.
Dr. Anwar Shahab, Coordinator of the Department of Computer Applications and Information Technology, welcomed the resource persons and emphasized the importance of internship programs in gaining real-world experience. Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, Principal of Karim City College, congratulated the students and faculty for their active participation in organizing the event.
The event was hosted by Shafaque, a student from the Department of Information Technology, while Aaliya Perween, a Semester 3 student, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
Students from BCA, BSc. IT, BSc. Mathematics, and BSc. Physics participated in the workshop. The program was organized by Prof. Asghar Ali and Prof. Noorus Sabah from the Department of Computer Applications, along with Prof. Kanchan Bala and Prof. Ratna Pandey from the Department of Information Technology.

Dr. Yahiya Ibrahim, Coordinator of IQAC, attended the event along with faculty members, including Shibram Bera, Zakia Shabnam, and Preety Singh, along with other teaching and non-teaching staff of Karim City College.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial, providing students with essential knowledge and skills to navigate their internship and professional journeys.
