THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Daltonganj, Feb 27: In a significant breakthrough, the Latehar district police have arrested four associates of rising criminal figure Rahul Singh, effectively dismantling part of his expanding network. The arrests occurred during a crackdown led by the Manika police team, which seized illegal firearms, ammunition, and other criminal materials from the suspects.

The four arrested have been identified as Gautam, 20, Rohit, 19, Ansari, 20 and Deowali, 20.

Police crackdown on criminal expansion

Rahul Singh, a rising criminal figure, appears to be recruiting unemployed youths, eager to venture into the world of organized crime, only to find themselves behind bars. Singh’s rush to expand his criminal network is being thwarted at every turn by the determined Latehar district police.

As Rahul Singh pushes forward with his plans for expansion, the Latehar district police have been relentless in limiting his reach, effectively deflating his efforts. Each time Singh attempts to broaden his criminal influence, the police tighten their grip, preventing further growth.

In the past two months, Latehar police have successfully apprehended and jailed over a dozen of Rahul Singh’s associates, effectively stalling his ambitions and sending a strong message of resistance to his growing criminal enterprise.

4 arrested will languish in jail in Arms Act: Latehar SP

Latehar SP Kumar Gaurav told the Jharkhand Story correspondent today, “Rahul Singh taps young minds. He sells them dreams of getting rich overnight. The young ones, having no job or employment on hands, don’t mind trying to make an entry into the world of crime.”

“However, their dreams come crashing when the Latehar district police swoop down on them. Today, four of Rahul Singh associates were caught by a team of Manika police led by the SDPO Bharat Ram,” added Gaurav.

Rahul Singh tempts and lures. With his tempting skills, these young minds fail to resist. They fall in his trap.

Kumar Gaurav went on to say, “l see their age. It’s between 18 to 20. The 4 that our team caught have no criminal antecedence. But since the 4 have been caught with illicit arms and ammunition, they will languish in the jail in Arms Act.”

Police have recovered one pistol of 7.62 mm calibre, one magazine, 4 live cartridges, 4 Android phones and 2 bikes.

Rahul Singh’s network faces increasing resistance

The spate of arrests, a dozen, does not make Rahul Singh any drier of more and more youths who get fascinated by the thrill of crime, which the Latehar police turns into miseries and repentance of them.

Sources said Rahul Singh had more bad luck than anything more except firing at the work site at the NH four lane and injuring one. He has more arrests of his fixers rather than the quantum of terror that he wanted to spread. His name sells, not his planning.

Sources said days may not be any far when the youths whom he engaged and who later landed in jail, their families may rise in revolt of Rahul Singh and help police to track down him for the enormous miseries that he has scripted for the families.

However, Rahul Singh has proved an elfin fish for the police since he continues to be at large.
