Jamshedpur, Oct 10: A new Core Committee of the Association of Jharkhand Unaided Private Educational Institutions (AJUPEI) has been constituted for the upcoming term, reaffirming the Association’s vision of collective growth and educational excellence.
The announcement was made during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held with great decorum and participation at Dayanand Public School, Sakchi, attended by principals, education leaders, and dignitaries from across the region.
The newly elected AJUPEI Core Committee comprises: Chairman: Nakul Kamani, Vice-Presidents: Gian Taneja and Sharat Chandra Nair, Honorary Secretary: Dr. Srikant Nair, Honorary Treasurer: R.K. Jhunjhunwala and Legal Matters: Shashikant Zatakia.

Other Members of the Core Group: Advisor: B. Chandrashekhar and Members: Tina Bodhanwala, Rajiv Talwar, Diwakar Singh, and K.G.P. Nair

The AGM began with a welcome by Swarna Mishra, Principal of Dayanand Public School, who greeted all attendees and invited dignitaries to join in the traditional lamp lighting ceremony.
Following the inaugural proceedings, Gian Taneja, Chairman of Dayanand Public School Shiksha Samiti, officially called the meeting to order. A minute’s silence was observed in memory of Lalita Sareen and Meena Bugli, whose contributions to the education fraternity were remembered with respect and affection.
In his address, B. Chandrashekhar spoke insightfully about the evolving challenges in education and the need for strong, visionary leadership within school associations. He also presented a brief report on the ongoing initiatives of AJUPEI, highlighting its active role in fostering collaboration among member institutions.
The formal business session commenced with Dr. Shrikant Nair, Honorary Secretary, presenting the minutes of the previous AGM (2023–2024), which were reviewed and unanimously approved by the members. The Honorary Secretaries then presented the Annual Report, summarizing the year’s achievements, workshops, and collaborative programs.
The audited financial report was presented by the Honorary Treasurer, followed by its approval by the General Body, reaffirming the association’s commitment to transparency and sound governance.

Delivering the Chairman’s Address, Nakul D. Kamani outlined his vision for the year ahead, emphasizing cooperation, innovation, and shared accountability among all member institutions.
He also praised the leadership and contributions of B. Chandrashekhar and Bely Bodhanwala, acknowledging their enduring service to the association. A plaque of honour was presented to Chandrashekhar for his distinguished contribution to AJUPEI.
