Daltonganj, October 24: Palamu DC Sameera S, SP Reeshma Ramesan and DDC Md Jawed Hussain inspected a fleet of Chhath ghats on Friday.

The trio first inspected ghats at Amanat river location near Singra village. Here the flow of the river Amanat is slow and there is a vast sandy base for the devotees.

The river Koyel has sharp current and level of water is high. The footfall of the devotees is expected to be high at Amanat river side while pedestrian devotees prefer Koyel river ghats.

The administration is toying with the idea of pressing in a couple of boats here. Drones will be flown and rope in bamboo will be the caution wall for the devotees not to step on any further.

The trio visited Pampu Kal ghat where a makeshift bamboo path is coming up over a portion of the river Koyel.

The administration is worried on two counts. Children going into water and devotees remaining unmindful of them.

Medininagar Municipal Corporation is doing massive cleanliness drive where it is getting people’s support too.
