Dhanbad, June 20: Police recovered 80 live cartridges in a flat of Ananya Apartment in Steel Gate locality under Saraidhela police station on Thursday.
Police immediately took the flat owner Rahul Kumar in custody and took him to Saraidhela police station for interrogation. Rahul Kumar is a recovery agent.
Superintendent of Police ( Rural ) Ajit Kumar told media persons that police had gone to the flat to investigate an ornament theft case and in search of rooms, 80 live cartridges were found in a small handbag in a cupboard.

The flat owner failed to give the papers of live cartridges.
Rural SP said that Swati Kumari wife of Rahul Kumar informed Saraidhela police that her husband in the name of ornament theft was beating her. When police reached the flat, Swati Kumari expressed apprehension that her husband had hidden ornaments in his cupboard.
When police searched the cupboard, Rahul Kumar tried to cover a small handbag. On suspicion, police opened the handbag and found live cartridges.
