Jamshedpur, August 18: Rotary Club Jamshedpur West, in collaboration with the local Parvati Ghat Committee, organized a comprehensive health check-up camp at Parvati Ghat, Bistupur. The camp aimed to provide essential health services to the residents in the vicinity of Parvati Ghat, ensuring that they receive timely medical attention and health awareness.
Health check-up of 77 people
The camp featured a health check-up led by Dr. Amit Mukherjee, an Orthopedic Specialist, and Dr. Ajay, a General Physician, along with Nurse Dulari. The medical team conducted various tests including blood sugar levels, blood pressure, general body check-ups, and weight assessments. A total of 77 people were examined during the camp, receiving valuable health insights and advice.
Free eye examination
In addition to the general health check-up, a free eye examination was also conducted with the assistance of the team from Poornima Netralaya. The eye check-up saw 44 individuals being examined, out of which seven were identified as needing cataract surgery.

Prompt action was taken for three of these patients, who were immediately referred to Poornima Netralaya Tamolia Hospital for cataract surgery on the same day. The remaining four patients will undergo surgery in the coming days at their convenience, with the procedures being provided free of charge.
Key contributors to the eye check-up included Vipin, the Coordinator from Poornima Netralaya, along with Dr. Eswari Rao and Mausami Chand, whose efforts ensured the successful execution of the eye care services.

The event was well-supported by various members of Rotary Club Jamshedpur West, including President Dr. Amit Mukherjee, Sachin-Deepti Singh, Deepak Panchmiya, Sanjeev Sehgal, Rakesh Kumar Chaudhary, Anupama Sehgal, Dr. Ravindra Kumar, Kamal Gupta, Nandkishore Agarwal, Anil Dhandhaniya, Radhika, Vidya Tiwari, Kamlesh Tiwari, and Rishi Chandrani.
The Parvati Ghat Committee, represented by D Bhatt, Ram Murti, Jignesh Vasani, and Deepak Panchmiya, who also serves as the President of the committee, played an essential role in supporting the camp.
