Jamshedpur, April 16: A 28-year-old man was bludgeoned to death, suspected by some friends at Taznagar under Kapali thana Outpost in Chandil police station area near Jamshedpur.
Identified as Mohammed Hussain, the murder victim was a resident of Kapali and was a scrap dealer. Two days ago, he had a scuffle with a local youth and on Tuesday evening, his bludgeoned body was found in a room of a madrasa at Taznagar.
Hussain’s motorcycle was found parked outside the madrasa, leading the police to seize it.

The murder victim was married and was the father of a two-year-old baby girl.

The victim’s mother said that two days ago, Hussain had a fight with a man known as Mohammed Ashfaque over something.
“During the clash, Ashfaque had even opened fire on my son, causing gunshot injury in the leg. We treated the wound at home instead of going over to the hospital for treatment. But as my son was recovering from the wound, a local youth, namely Sahbaj visited the house on Tuesday morning and took Hussain along. But in the evening we came to know that my son’s body was found inside the Taznagar madrasa, ” narrated the victim’s mother while talking to the newsmen.
Kapali thana OC Sonu Kumar said the man was bludgeoned to death by his friends in retaliation for an old enmity.
“We have already identified the assailants and are trying to trace them out as they have absconded,” said Kumar while talking to The Jharkhand Story.

The OC revealed that the assailants are also residents of Kapali and acquainted with the murder victim, but the act of borrowing a motorcycle by one of the assailants had triggered enmity between them, culminating in the murder of Hussain.
